Change Your Life with New Blends: Get Energized, Get Fit, and Succeed in Only 3 Weeks

Achieve renewed health using fast and easy techniques, capture appetite-stimulating meals and dissolve obstinate weight without starvation.

Let’s not pretend here, most diets do feel like a form of punishment. Whether you’re counting little pieces of bread or trying to force down salads that are completely void of flavour.

But what if getting in shape didn’t have to be excruciating? In comes the smoothie diet. This beauty has saved my mornings – and my mental health. I used to forgo breakfast until one day I made the mistake of puréing banana with spinach and, oh boy, I had hacked being an adult.

There is no cooking nor there are any dishes to wash, which means I get a delicious drink that satisfies my hunger until lunch. Surreal, right? Let us reveal the secrets of the blender.

What Is The Smoothie Diet About?

Forget those ridiculous juice cleanses or the infamous lemon-cayenne concoction. A smoothie diet simply is replacing one meal (typically breakfast or lunch) with a thick, satiating smoothie every day.

I would like to repeat, smoothie, not juice. You can blend veggies, fruits, protein and healthy fats. Now you may ask “Why do this?” Well, it’s pretty clear, because as you know, we are shredding the mountain of kale to get the appropriate vitamins in our body. Smoothies allow you to inhale nutrients without the work. And the cherry on the cake – they are sustainable. You are not starving yourself, nor are you living on vapour. My cousin managed to shed 15 pounds just like this and all she did was stop eating pizza during the week.

3 Reasons Smoothies Beat Every Other Diet Trend

Here’s why I’m obsessed (and why you might be too):

  • Fresh Fruits Produce: No Protein Supplements Work So Easily For Me. Just pour, gulp, and go about your day.
  • Adios To “Hangry” Mode: The candy bar craving I had at 3 p.m.? My fiber and protein intake did a pretty good job of keeping my incessant cravings at bay.
  • More Economical Than Take-Out Meals Are: At home, better yet, not too much expensive- A $1.50 smoothie is doable while at work, a $6 smoothie at a cafe isn’t.

How to Start a Smoothie Diet Without Losing Your Mind

My first attempt at this was wrong. Blueberry and ice mixture is not a smoothie, it tastes like a freezer burn so bad. Learn from my pain points as well:

1. Steal My Formula:

  • Greens: A beginner’s serving of spinach. I swear you won’t taste a thing.
  • Fruit: To top it off, frozen berries or mangoes work perfectly!
  • Liquid: Almond milk. The taste is better than ordinary tap water, coconut water works too.
  • Protein: Comes from Peanut Butter & Greek Yogurt, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and even a spoon is available.
  • Boosters: A sprinkle of cinnamon, chia seeds or oats works fine as well.

2. Blender Drama? Keep it simple: Ninja is the buy. From Walmart, unlike other expensive futurist blenders, $40 is all I needed.

3. Smoothie Pro Tips and Hacks: Each Sunday, I prepare specific smoothie kits that contain frozen fruit, pre-measured oats, and spinach. All I need to do is Grab, dump and blend.

For proper smoothie nutrition advice, I always get tips from the CDC’s fruit/veggie guidelines and EatingWell’s smoothie hacks.

“Wait, Can I Just Live on Smoothies?” (A Few Smoothie Mistakes)

Dave, my friend, used to drink three smoothies per day and he got… constipated. Do not make these mistakes:

  1. Sugar Bombs: Avoid the apple juice. Use whole fruit – that’s sweet enough.
  2. Skipping Chewing Entirely: Your digestive system requires solid food. Maximum of twa smoothies a day.
  3. Forgetting Fat/Protein: A banana spinach smoothie is going to leave you hungry. Put some peanut butter or avocado in there!

FAQ

Do I have to put veggies in it?

No! Work your way towards adding spinach later in the diet. You can start with a fruit-based smoothie because spinach does not have any flavour. Trust me.

Maybe! If you replace a muffin or breakfast sandwich, then yeah. Again, my advice is to focus on your well-being first.

Blend the greens with the liquid, not the other way around. Trust me, you don’t want to do that and keep portion of water/juices to avoid chunkiness in the blender head.

Bottom Line: Just Give It A Go

Smoothie diet is not supposed to be perfect, but and more practical. I used to get myself in a flustered panic every single morning and spent 5 minutes in the kitchen – just blending and then heading out the door. But then I tried starting with a simple recipe – frozen mango, spinach, greek yogurt, and almond milk. I hated it, I loved it, but the end goal is to see how it fits into my life. So begin from there!
